Refund and Returns Policy

Returns and Refund Policy

Academy of Global Curriculum Bookstore

We value your patronage and are committed to ensuring a fair and professional return process for all purchases made through the Academy of Global Curriculum Bookstore. Kindly review our returns and refund policy outlined below:

1. Return Eligibility

Customers may return purchased books within 7 calendar days of receipt, provided the following conditions are met:

  • The book is returned in pristine, unused, and resalable condition, free from markings, creases, or damages.
  • The original invoice or proof of purchase is presented upon return.
  • The book has not been tampered with, and all digital access codes remain unscratched and fully intact.

2. Handling Fee

All eligible returns are subject to a handling fee of 10% of the original invoice amount. This fee covers administrative, packaging, and processing costs incurred by the bookstore.

3. Condition Assessment

Upon receipt of the returned item, the Academy of Global Curriculum Bookstore will assess the condition of the book. Should the book:

  • Meet the criteria of a new, resalable product, a refund (less the 10% handling fee) will be processed.
  • Fail to meet the standard of a new item (e.g., bent corners, scratched access codes, visible wear, or broken seals), it will be classified as second-hand. In this case, the bookstore reserves the right to deny a full refund. Instead, the bookstore may offer to buy back the item at a reduced second-hand value, determined at the sole discretion of the bookstore.

4. Digital Access Codes

Books with scratched, used, or exposed digital access codes are automatically deemed second-hand and do not qualify for a full refund. Refunds in such cases, if granted, will reflect the second-hand value as determined by the bookstore.

5. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or refund:

  • Digital-only products or eBooks
  • Discounted or clearance sale items
  • Books marked as non-returnable at the point of sale

6. Customer Responsibility

Customers are urged to thoroughly review all book descriptions, ISBNs, and access code requirements before completing their purchase. The Academy of Global Curriculum Bookstore will not be held responsible for incorrect orders placed by the customer.

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

Shipping returns

To return your product, you should mail your product to: Academy of Global Curriculum School, Mushroom House, 15a Paul Kruger Street, Loerie Business Park, Durbanville, 7550.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
